The Chinese dog and cat food scare of the spring has now turned into the Chinese toothpaste scare of today. Is it time for trade with China to be re-examined?
The Prism of 9/11
NYC Police Commissioner Kelly said today in the press conference regarding the terrorist plot to blow up JFK Airport and the fuel lines surrounding it, "We must view the world through the prism of 9/11." Praise be that some officials understand this and God help us that some officials do not.
I’d like to also add this to the Commissioner’s statement. In my opinion, all issues must be looked at through the prism of 9/11 as well. And are any of us surprised that yet again the plotters were Muslim of foreign descent.
It’s a reminder that all Muslims are not terrorist, but so far the terrorist have all been Muslim. And it should also wake us up that some of these terrorist were also recent immigrants. Immigration reform isn’t something that can be used as a political tool, it’s a matter of national security. The sooner lawmakers and elected officials accept this, the safer we will all be.
