Alabama’s conservative women are always SPOT ON and sometimes FIRST!
The Alabama Republican Party’s Annual Summer Dinner is scheduled for this Friday, June 15. The keynote speaker is Senator John McCain. The dinner will be held at the Birmingham Sheraton with a reception beginning at 6pm and dinner at 7pm.
If you are a McCain fan, here’s a good chance to visit with him. If you aren’t a McCain fan, here’s a good chance to tell him EXACTLY what you think about him calling those of us against his Immigration Bill, "Anti-Immigrant".
I know you don’t read this blog Senator McCain, but I speak on behalf of MANY, in fact most of the politically active conservative women in this state when I say:
"JUST BECAUSE WE ARE AGAINST AMNESTY DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE ANTI-IMMIGRANT. IN FACT, WE ARE PRO-LEGAL IMMIGRATION. IF YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT, YOUR MESSAGE WOULD BE MUCH BETTER RECEIVED AMONG THE AMERICAN PEOPLE….WHO ARE LEGAL."
The first Republican be appointed to the Colbert Co. Commission.
Sally Robinson, the Governor’s Appointments Director is pleased to announce Governor Riley has appointed Tim Leigh to the Colbert County Commission. He will fill the vacancy created by the death of Duck Douthit. The appointment is effective immediately.
Tim is the husband to AFRW’s own Bobbie Lou Leigh! Way to go Tim and Bobbie Lou!
