ALABAMA PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY BALLOT
BIRMINGHAM, AL - Today, Governor Mitt Romney announced his intention to participate in the Alabama Presidential Primary on February 5, 2008. Kay Ivey delivered the necessary paperwork and petitions to the Alabama Republican Party Headquarters in Birmingham. Ivey serves as the Chairman of Governor Romney’s Alabama Campaign. Ms. Ivey released the following statement:
“Today, Governor Romney became the first Presidential candidate to acquire enough signatures to have his name placed on the ballot for the Alabama primary on February 5, 2008. Governor Romney’s message of conservative change in Washington is beginning to resonate with voters statewide. We are building a strong grassroots organization throughout the state and look forward to helping Governor Romney toward victory in February.”
