Harry Reid takes the cake…
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has taken the cake today. After 2 weeks ago going to the Senate floor and saying horrid and untruthful things about conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, today Senator Reid tried to take credit for something he didn’t do. Shock.
After his talk on the senate floor rebuking Limbaugh for a made up story stating Limbaugh said negative things about our military, Reid wrote a letter and got 40 other democrats to sign it. The letter was delivered to Clear Channel CEO Mark Mays. In the letter, the democrat leader again rebuked Limbaugh and encouraged Mays to take care of the Limbaugh problem. Mays, a supporter of the talk show host, in turn turned the letter over to Limbaugh.
In a move that can only be characterized as genius, Limbaugh turned a bad situation into something good. Limbaugh put the original letter up on the action block via ebay promising to match whatever was raised in the action. It was a sign to democrats that while they can say anything they want, they cannot tarnish the words and reputation of a long time supporter of the military. The remarks made by Reid along with the letter attacking Limbaugh have proven to ignite the conservative base against the democratic leadership that constantly uses inflammatory language, lies and personal attacks to try and make themselves look better. As usual it didn’t work, but they lie to themselves and think it did. But in true Reid form, today he took to the floor AGAIN to seemingly take credit for the auction and amount of money raised for the military families. He tried to say that it was a good thing and this was what was intended all along.
Give me a break Senator Reid. You and your democratic buddies might be easily fooled, but the conservative base is far smarter than you give us credit for. Senator Reid, you are as disgusting as it comes in regards to supporting the troops. It was just recently that you declared the war lost. Your buddies say that the war is a chance for innocent people to be blown up for the President’s pleasure. Your past presidential candidate even accused our military of raiding homes in the dead of night, killing innocent civilians. Senator Reid, there are no words vile enough to tell you how disgusted you and your democratic buddies make us.
So, 3 cheers to Limbaugh for calling you to the mat, exploiting your ignorance and raising money for a worthy cause in the mean time. You take the cake Senator Reid…..and you’d take everything we have if you thought you could get away with it and it would give you any power.
